I have a question. I have a PowerBook G4, 1.5 GHz, Aluminum. Recently, my "o", "l", and "." keys are working intermittently. Half the time, they do not work. This is not a software problem as I have an external keyboard. Does anybody know what's going on??? I don't.

So are the up and down arrow keys.
Tried resetting PRAM. It wouldn't let me!!!!!!!!! I have NEVER seen this before...
Can't reset NVRAM because that requires a trip to Open Firmware... Command+Option+O+F.
O is one of the keys described in the main post that does not work sometimes.
Try,
Unplugging the PowerBook. Remove battery and then hold the power button for five seconds.
Put the battery and power back in and try your keyboard again.

Sounds like a cracked trace on the keyboard PWB. Best to just replace the keyboard. You might get more information at this link:

In this case, the Titanium models have the Aluminum models beat, as replacing a Titanium keyboard is a 2-3 minute process, tops.
Resetting the PRAM did NOT help.
Looks like getting at the stupid keyboard is gonna be a tough job.
I might just sell the darn thing and get a MacBook.
